The Palace Hotel, located in a palace built in the early twentieth century modernist style in the very centre of the city, was the first professionally organised hotel in Zagreb, opening its doors in 1907. The Palace Hotel has a total of 170 beds in 118 luxury rooms, three hotel suites and two mini-suites with a warm modernist "retro-chic” interior. The numerous services and amenities the Palace offers, now standard industry practice in contemporary hotel management, ensure a pleasant and carefree stay at our hotel.
All rooms at the Palace Hotel are air-conditioned, have satellite and pay TV, a mini-bar, hair dryer and safe for valuables. Our guests can also stay in non-smoking rooms. All rooms have unlimited access to wireless internet. Fully equipped meeting rooms and a conference hall are available for business meetings.
Our guests can ask for an extra children’s bed at no additional charge, and they also have access to a babysitting service. Our hotel is pet-friendly. A buffet breakfast is also included in the price of every overnight stay, and room service is available from 7am to 11pm.
We are especially proud of our suites and mini-suites at the Palace Hotel. The mini-suites have bedrooms and separate living rooms, and the suites have fully separated bedrooms. The salon-style living room can also be hired separately for smaller-scale meetings. Each suite has a balcony with a view of Strossmayer Square, the Academy of Sciences and Arts and the green parks of what is known as Lenuci’s Horseshoe.

Restaurant
The Palace Hotel is proud to present Strossmayer restaurant, which is enjoyed not only by our hotel guests but frequented by many Zagreb food lovers because of the head chef, Ivica Štruml.
The restaurant is often the venue for formal receptions, banquets and cocktail parties, and the rich selection of food at the banquets includes several imaginative menus. The dining experience is completed by the restaurant’s warm atmosphere, created by antique furniture and an interior designed in the modernist style, which provides the restaurant with a charming but discrete backdrop for your culinary pleasure.
The Palace Hotel restaurant-café is the perfect place to have your morning coffee and a small breakfast for 35 HRK or a quick business lunch for 90 HRK. Have a snack or try something sweet by ordering one of our freshly prepared desserts and the house specialty – Štrukle Palace, a traditional Croatian pastry cooked in the special Palace style. In the evening, the restaurant-café becomes a cosy bar where guests can indulge in freshly mixed cocktails while listening to the mellow sounds of the piano.
