Spend a few fun days on the Adriatic and celebrate our wine days with us. In autumn everything revolves around the wine on the program: appealing culture, wine hikes, grape harvest - everything under the sign of wine. The municipality of Vinodol includes the towns of Drivenik, Tribalj, Grižane and Bribir in the Vinodol Valley, which was once called Vallis Vinearia by the ancient Romans.
These nowadays rather smaller places arose in the Middle Ages in the immediate vicinity of the castles and fortifications of the Frankopan princely family, an aristocratic family that made a name for itself in cultural prosperity and whose name is now associated with many cultural monuments.
One of the most important Croatian written documents of this area - the Vinodol code from 1288 - testifies to the importance of this product. The protocol mentions the guard over the vineyards. In ancient Greece, the host first took a sip of wine to show guests that it was not poisoned. This is where the saying "drink to someone's good - for good" comes from.

Our excursion into the wine valley begins after breakfast. First we do a city tour through Novi Vinodolski, then we continue to the wine valley. After a brief introduction, our grape harvest will begin there:
We are welcomed with schnapps and music, figs, olive oil, bread, sausage, bacon and raw ham “pršut”. Our program can start - so, roll up your sleeves and off you go: "armed" with the scissors, we will free the vines from the grapes. The program includes a guided grape harvest with an animation program, including taking a nice walk through the vineyards and of course going to the grape harvest, a visit to the wine cellar and an explanation of the wine production as well as a guided wine tasting. After work you deserve some refreshment, a delicious lunch and, of course, the wine. At lunchtime, the hosts prepare a specialty - the famous čobanac (strong goulash soup made from the best meat), which is cooked in front of the guests. This meal is traditionally prepared during the grape harvest to strengthen, because it makes every job much easier. Wine and water are included with lunch. Before leaving, each guest receives a bottle of wine as a farewell present.
All the products that the guests have tried today can of course also be bought from the winemaker.
Return to the hotel via one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Kvarner region, Slipica - 446 meters above sea level, to see the whole valley from a "bird's eye view". The viewpoint offers a breathtaking view of Velebit, the Velebit Channel, the Kvarner Islands, the Učka Mountains, the island of Krk ...
