Saint Valentine of Rome lived in what is now Italy in the third century AD. It was said that he was known for gifting couples with flowers from his garden. Above all, however, he is said to have married lovers according to Christian tradition - thereby violating the express prohibition of the Roman emperor. At that time, couples were not allowed to marry in church because Christianity was forbidden as a religion. Although Valentin is said to have had a high reputation with the Emperor Claudius II, he could not avoid the severest punishment. Because he did not want to be forbidden to practice his faith, Valentin is said to have been executed on February 14, 269 in Rome. The Christian martyrs were later canonized by the Church. In AD 496, 200 years after Valentine's death, Pope Gelasius declared February 14th "Valentine's Day". Europeans, on the other hand, have only been celebrating Valentine's Day since around 1950. Couples and lovers, however, usually limit themselves to giving a bouquet of flowers, chocolates or other small gifts. Or just this special trip!

DAY 2: Love Path in Crikvenica
After a leisurely breakfast in the hotel, a gentle stroll along the love path in Crikvenica is on the plan. The origins of this beautiful forest path go back to the 1930s, when it was often visited by couples in love. This is why it got its current name. It is around eight kilometers long and leads past several interesting sights, such as the ruins of Badanj Castle, a former drinking water source, a lookout point with a view of the village of Tribalj and the reservoir of the same name, as well as the rock Kavranova, which is still 290 Meters above sea level.
After a beautiful day in nature, we have also earned a fine lunch. In the afternoon there is time to relax and as it belongs to Valentine's Day: at the end of the day we invite you to a romantic candlelight dinner in the hotel.
DAY 3: Mediterranean labyrinth of love and “kissing spots” in Crikvenica
The Mediterranean labyrinth of love in Crikvenica that, among other things, makes wishes come true, rejuvenates them, makes them more beautiful, frees them from addiction, greed and jealousy as well as increases love and promotes creativity. Interestingly, the labyrinth is made entirely of laurel, which is very aromatic, hence the name "Mediterranean labyrinth". The laurel was not chosen by chance. A laurel park was built in Crikvenica as early as 1926. It stretches from the beach to Stjepan Radić Square and is one of the few parks that has retained the historical “matrix layout”. Many of today's around 600 laurels attract guests with its pleasant fragrance. After visiting the love labyrinths, you will also discover the famous “kissing spots” for lovers. We lead you to the ten most beautiful places to kiss where there is an opportunity for the most romantic vacation pictures. The respective "Kissing Spots" can be found, for example, in front of the artistic bridge at the Hotel Kaštel in Crikvenica, in the small port of Dramalj, in the enchanting Sveti Jakov Park in Jadranovo ...
