When you dip your finger in the sea, you are connected to the whole world. This old Dalmatian folk wisdom in Croatian is still alive today in the everyday language of the coastal and island inhabitants on the east side of the Adriatic. It sums up and symbolizes the lifestyle of the Dalmatian people, their open-mindedness anchored in passionate love for their homeland. Wherever you think and feel like this, the precious jewel hospitality is a matter of course in dealing with one another.
Lemon yellow gorse bushes, purple sage and lavender, evergreen pine forest and grapevines spice up the mild sea climate with their aromatic scent. Butterflies rest on the stony edge of the crystal clear, azure blue water, whose shallow waves sparkle like diamonds in the glaring sunlight. An enchanting piece of nature full of sensual serenity. PROGRAM SUGGESTION:
DAY 1: Arrival. Welcome drink with our tour guide
DAY 2: Split and Trogir coast - visit the ethno village Zagora
The Roman emperor Diocletian decided to build his summer residence in Split in 305. He had a residence built that was unique for the building industry at the time, with strong walls, numerous defense towers, temples, palaces and thermal baths. Today this palace represents the largest complex of ancient monuments in Croatia and is a popular sightseeing object. After the city tour and free time in Split, we leave the sea and show you the undiscovered beauty of the Dalmatian hinterland. This country is rich in Mediterranean plant species. The beauty of this nature, landscape with autochthonous villages and friendly hosts hides a secret at every step that is just waiting to be discovered and brought out into the world (source: Tourist Association of the Split-Dalmatia County). Then we visit the ethno village of Zagora. Here you can relax and go back in history. Many traditional tools and utensils tell of old times, people who lived in humble circumstances, in harmony with nature, respectfully and with dignity.
Presentation of the traditional preparation of local products, tasting.
Not far from the economic and cultural center of Split is the harmonious, stone city of Trogir, whose city center, like Split, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is just as rich in culture and history. Today we end with a visit to the city of Trogir.
DAY 3: Dubrovnik - a city of monuments
The charm and beauty of the city of Dubrovnik lie in its long history. Over the centuries, Dubrovnik has asserted itself as an independent, strong and influential city. It was a state with a very strong shipping industry and preserved its independence through wholesale trade with, for example, the Ottoman Empire. Dubrovnik, geographically small as a state, had to trade with powers and give up part of its territory. So it managed to survive until the early 18th century. Its particular geographical location helped develop the successful trading and shipping tradition. The historic old town of Dubrovnik is surrounded by a completely preserved and particularly impressive fortress-like city wall. Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will get to know the city today on a guided tour.
After crossing the Gothic bridge of the inner city gate, on which there is a statue Stankt Blasius designed by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović, the view opens onto the main street of the city, the Placa (Stradun). From this street, all major sights of the city can be reached in a few minutes on foot. After the tour you have the opportunity to explore Dubrovnik yourself.
Our recommendation: (surcharge for admission)
The oldest pharmacy in Europe is located in Dubrovnik, founded in 1317 in the Franciscan monastery. It is currently part of the Franciscan Museum, but it is still open.
The Rector's Palace is a palace in Dubrovnik and was built as the seat of the government and residence of the Prince, the political office in the Republic of Dubrovnik.
DAY 4: Omiš - River Cetina
The Cetina River is the source of life in the Dalmatian hinterland. Its source begins at the foot of Mount Dinara. It flows into the Adriatic Sea, near the beautiful town of Omiš after a 100.5 km long path.
Today we visit the city of Omiš. In ancient times, mills were built in the river gorge due to its good location. There are findings from the first mills from 1722.
Today the "Radman" mills consist of a restaurant and a place for excursions where we will enjoy the Dalmatian ham and cheese after the boat trip.
Afternoon at leisure in the hotel.
DAY 5: Journey home

- Split, Trogir, Dubrovnik
